In the TV show Šarenica, produced by Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), the presenters Ana Babić and Slobodan Šarenac lead you to one gastronomic journey on the map of old forgotten dishes of traditional Serbian cuisine, together with the author of the book Traditional Serbian food and recipes, Miodrag Ilić.
Two old traditional dishes were presented: prpeć, open pies with cheese from leafy dough and šljivopita, roasted plum sweets. Prpeć is a dish characteristic for the region of south-eastern Serbia, it is being prepared in Surdulica, Vladičin Han, Vranje … And šljivopita is typical dish of the region of western Serbia.
